You may ask yourself, what happens when an investor and a businessman become fishing buddies? Pro Controll and their front mount trolling motor is what happens! Richard Mynster; a self-taught engineer and inventor, and Mike Rhode; a businessman, combined efforts to create the business they know and love – Pro Controll. Richard believed everyone should have the ability to fish like the pros whether they could afford a fancy boat, or they were only limited to an affordable utility boat. Mike helped his friend patent his ideas and bring them to the market. Our front mount trolling motor has helped all kinds of fishermen for over three decades now!

The first Pro Controll product put out was a foot control adapter for transom mounted trolling motors. It allowed fishermen to steer and fish at the same time! It was a great product; however, it was costly to produce. As bow-mounted trolling motors became the “gold standard”, RM Industries pivoted to produce EZ Mount – a more affordable solution that made trolling even better. We then went on to produce a front mount trolling motor as well and even more! There’s so much versatility when it comes to angling and what you can do with your boats.
